LBW# 563, “For the Fruit of All Creation”
Devotion
Tulips in the spring are a beautiful sight. Last fall I bought 150 tulips and planted them in our front yard. I put them in clusters of 15 to 20. Then I waited. December, January and February passed. March came in like a lion, but then turned warm and sunny. And I'm waiting, still waiting, for my tulips. My neighbor's tulips are up five inches already, but where are mine? I planted 150 bulbs and there was no sign of them anywhere. My wife said, "Be patient. They will come."
Maybe waiting is a good plan. We plant and water ... God supplies the growth; in God's good time.
Prayer
Creating God, thank you for silent growth while we are sleeping. Another reminder that you are in charge, not me. Amen.
