Devotion
In 1998 our church drama group staged a play I had written to honor a friend killed in Vietnam. Set in fictional Jericho, Nebraska, “The Walls of Jericho” is the story of a man and a woman broken by war and beset by losses. Brought together by God, these wounded people begin healing each other as they could never have done alone. They tear down walls and bring light. It is unexpected, a gift. It is the Lord’s doing and marvelous in their eyes. The Lord’s doing always is!
Prayer
Eternal Healer, tear down our walls. Give us sight to see your Light already here! Amen.
