WOV #660, “I Want Jesus to Walk with Me”
Devotion
I want Jesus to walk with me;
I want Jesus to walk with me;
All along my pilgrim journey,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.
In my trials, Lord, walk with me;
In my trials, Lord, walk with me;
When my heart is almost breaking,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.
When I’m in trouble, Lord, walk with me;
When I’m in trouble, Lord, walk with me;
When my head is bowed in sorrow,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.
Be careful what you pray for. If you want Jesus to walk with you, you need to be prepared to walk with Jesus. Walking there leads to a cross. That cross moves out from the shade on a pilgrim journey. That pilgrim journey is through the world with all its needs. All its needs mean the ones you encounter. Those needs are yours to meet as you meet Jesus in the persons who are in need. Go in peace. Serve the Lord.
Prayer
Walk with us, Jesus, all along our pilgrim journey. Amen.
