Devotion
Boniface, born Wynfrid, began his life in Crediton, Wessex, England sometime about 672-675. Mission fervor was in his veins. He sought to carry on evangelistic work in Frisia (Holland), sharing his faith in Jesus Christ and attempting to reform partly pagan clergy. Later, assigned to Germany, he baptized thousands on Pentecost Day 722 in Hesse, probably the result of his complete dedication and passion for proclaiming Jesus Christ. His very fruitful mission work was supported by gifts from England.
We, too, can speak of our faith to others. Our actions may be even stronger statements of God’s power and love in our lives. Additionally, there are mission personnel who want to go where doors are open, if only support were given.
Prayer
Here I am Lord. I am yours, Lord. May the harvest be great as you are praised. Amen.
