Devotion
The outside of my desk is always immaculate. I pride myself in keeping it neat and organized and relatively clean. People who come in to my office are impressed. Unfortunately, the inside of my desk is too often a jumble of papers and pens and staples and markers and file cards and tools. Neat on the outside, a mess on the inside. Today’s scripture hits us between the eyes with the hard truth that too often our lives are like my desk.
Prayer
Great Creator and Lover of us all, we count on you to work in us the grace that will make our lives as lovely on the inside as they are on the outside. Amen.
