Devotion
“Dr. Phil,” “The Swan,” “Extreme Makeover” (and “Home Edition,” of course!). We are a culture of makeovers, delighting when we witness the next restoration of someone desperate for it. In this case, the psalmist reminds us that we are the ones being restored. And God is the one doing the restoring, and delighting in it.
Prayer
God of new life, restore us as only you can. We are in desperate need of your salvation. We ask that you give us the peace and happiness of your Spirit, and lead us in your ways. Amen.
