“In Christ Alone,” The Newsboys
Devotion
Each summer I take my family to Mount Carmel Family Camp in Alexandria, Minnesota It’s a Lutheran ministry that has as its motto: “Jesus Only.” And isn’t that what it’s all about?
In Jesus the fullness of God chose to dwell. He is the image of the invisible God, the exact representation of God’s being. Jesus reminded Philip that when you see him, you also see the Father, for they are One. Paul makes clear that the full, radiant, glorious experience of God is in Christ Jesus.
How do we get faith and then grow in that faith? We do so when we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
In the name of Jesus – in his presence, his grace, his life, his power, his vulnerability, his atoning death, his triumphal resurrection, his leadership – we are made safe in life and safe for all eternity. In the name of Jesus we are saved!

Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for your power at work in me and in your church. It is wonderful to see what you are able to accomplish through us. Help me to always fix my eyes upon you and to inspire others to do so as well, that our faith might be perfected by you. Amen.
