Devotion
How inspiring it is to have a large group of people sing the praises of God. We recently gathered for a Christiansen Choral Festival concert to sing some of the great songs and hymn arrangements of F. Melius and Paul Christiansen; in particular, F. Melius' arrangement of "Built on a Rock the Church Doth Stand." What a heritage they left for us.
In Psalm 89, Ethan the Ezrahite, left us a message of joy and hope that is truly uplifting-uplifting because it is based on the word of the eternal God. Ethan assures the people of God of every age that they are secure in the present moment and the far future because God has acted for us out of his steadfast love.
Prayer
Happy are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance. Amen.
