Devotion
A call to worship, whether sung, spoken or prayed, helps those gathered to get into a worshipful spirit. Deep in my spiritual memory, Psalm 100 has had the power to stir within me a worshipful spirit. It has been a call to worship through the ages, from ancient Israel to our time.
What is this calling?
* It is to join our voices in joyful praise of the Lord
* To serve our Lord with gladness
* To express our joy and praise in singing
* To offer up our thanks to the Lord
* To bless God's holy name.
Why:
* Because the Lord is good!
* And God's steadfast love and faithfulness endures forever!
Prayer
Lord, stir within us a passion to worship you. Call us together to praise your holy name. Amen.
