Devotion
What a reading! Look at the subjects, verbs and direct objects and you will see that God verbs you (and me). We are merely the recipient of all that God has done, does and will do. It is all summed up in the three most remarkable words in the New Testament:
1) God
2) is
3) faithful
GOD is faithful. Wow. Woot!
Prayer
O God, whose coming is certain and whose day draws near, thank you for preparing us through our spiritual gifts for your coming. Thank you for strengthening us so that we may be blameless on your day. Thank you for being the faithful one. Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.
