Devotion
Trust is something that is not easy to come by. Trusting others is not easy and earning others' trust is not a walk in the park either. Yet we have a God who is always trustworthy. Our Lord is dependable in all circumstances. Our Lord never fails and never gives up on us. Our Lord shows up in our lives and provides justice for the oppressed, food for the hungry and freedom for the imprisoned. In all circumstances our Lord is reliable and worthy of our trust.
Because of this we are called to praise the Lord. Even though there are still those who are blind, orphans or widows that are downtrodden, our Lord remains faithful. Our Lord promises to take care of us, God’s children, and our Lord keeps promises. In that we can most surely trust. Praise the Lord!
Prayer
Faithful God, we praise you for all that you are. We praise you that we can always count on you to keep your promises and bring justice and healing to this unjust and broken world. Bring your comfort and bring your light. Amen.
